Es handelt sich hier um den 2. I have to say that I’m still fairly pleased with the Aunt Dimity series so far, even though the series as a whole fairly udke me so far. This mystery has its own touch of the supernatural, even though Aunt Dimity is still alive, and only appears for a bit at the very beginning and the very djmity.

I am farther into the third book and now realize that wnd second book is about some characters from the first book, however the second book actually took place prior to the first book.

This is the 2nd in the series, and I enjoyed it very much. Everybody is so NICE.

Aunt Dimity and the Duke (Aunt Dimity, book 2) by Nancy Atherton

A Dimity-contrived coincidence brings her to Penford Hall, a sprawling Gothic mansion in Cornwall, where she finds a duke in search of a missing lantern with extraordinary powers. In all there wasn’t all that much mystery, and far more half-baked and rather chaste ro Somewhat underwhelming cozy-mystery.

If I hadn’t read the first book, I’d have no idea who Aunt Dimity was. I seem to have read two books in a month where unqualified tourists are drafted to design ancient gardens and have the freedom to postpone all sorts of responsibilities in order to stay in luxu Oh,your requirement that I suspend my disbelief to about the height of a high wire was worth it.

Oh, and Syd turned out to be a joy. Please try again later. Aunt Dimity is a nice light read with a touch of magic stirred in. I will continue the series but I probably won’t read another for a while.

The cast of characters is big, but they all fit beautifully into the story. If you are a lover of English country cottages, English country villages, mysteries with a benevolent ghost and historical sidelights of England, these books are for you! Also, the Pym sisters, and their unorthodox approach to job interviewing were a joy – we shall just sit here in the centre of a maze of a random garden, and interrogate those fellow-gardeners who manage to find us!

Basically it is a cozy, although it is other things, as well Lists with This Book. When her longtime lover dumps her for a younger woman, Emma escapes the cloying sympathy of family and friends by setting out on a summer-long driving tour of England’s glorious gardens. I’ve always enjoyed the touch of magic in this series, like the characters more in the early books and the underlying premise of all the stories.

The Best Books of dimiyy The dark rumors surrounding a rock star and the near-death of the duke’s beautiful cousin confirm Emma’s suspicions, and set her–with Aunt Dimity’s ghostly guidance-on the path to Penford Hall’s secrets and the pleasure ahd unexpected love.

It’s one heck of a case of instalove.

The mysteries are just sort of a little side bonus and aren’t really that much of a driving focus of the work. On of them involves scurrying around the castle’s secret passages at midnight. I was a bit all over the map today, and I just wanted a nice story. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.
