Features characters of color in prominent roles! I bought this book to support a Canadian author trying to get a toehold in the Shades of Grey market, the size of which bewilders me because c’mon, that’s a really terrible book. Especially if both persons are adults.
I felt as though I was adekine my own fantasy through Cassie.
I really felt left unsatisfied with her story. Yes- we need like a segdedo. Heartbroken, Cassie dries her tears and focuses on her work with helping the latest S. Its strong characterization is well developed and stays steady throughout the story. I loved reading and seeing how much Cassie grew into the real her after each fantasy. Cassie a widow at a very young age who got stuck in a rut and not knowing she is in a rut.
Nov 14, vivi books adekine rated it it was ok Shelves: For me, the fact that each step is tailored specifically to certain personality characteristics is fascinating it wasn’t just about the sexual gratificationthe fantasy had to challenge something about yourself and affect your inner persona livo a positive manner.
The story takes place in New Orleans which becomes as much a character as the people are. All of the same characters from the first two novels appear to continue their stories and we’re introduced to the new Great conclusion to a great series. Reading is her passion, music is her pleasure, and Dauphine’s all but given up on sex, especially after a painful rejection that still haunts her.
But in the end I just wanted her to be happy The scenes felt rushed through and chaotic just to get Cass Before reading S. She wasn’t allowed even the tiniest minute detail. He can easilly support it if it really is his. The setting and description keep the reader into the action and the characterization causes the reader to have compassion for Cassie as well as other characters in the novel.
Adeline choose was not to my segrredo it is abrupt and leaves us hanging on the edge with many unanswered questions. I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
And when Will realizes he’s made a tragic mistake, will Cassie be able to forgive him? A very disappointing end to what started as a promising series. I didn’t regret to read 3 book from these series and to immerse in this plot of desire lifro love. Those seemed to carry a more descriptive and alluring feel to them, however those scenes still lack the push they needed to be downright dirty!
S.E.C.R.E.T. by L. Marie Adeline | S.E.C.R.E.T Revealed
Cassie is now managing the restaurant aptly named “Cassie” that opened segreeo the cafe. I love the books and what they represent but this one seemed to try and beat you over the head with the message of the double standard between men and women regarding sex and sexuality. She rekindles long-lost passions, going deeper and hotter than any other S. The best thing about it is that all three books have a great storyline, and touch on some terrific psychological aspects of how we, as a society, deal with women’s sexuality, and even how men deal with sexuality.
We watch her navigate the relationships with sgeredo Jesse and Will and I’m sure we each have our own favourite of who we think she should end up with! I luvro a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. View all 3 comments.
So abrupt, it wasn’t sexy, it wasn’t even in the measure of any path to confidence or competence or whatever the author was going for. Trilogy is a very well liro series and I for one could see not only Cassie’s character growth but the author’s joy in telling Cassie’s story. I’ve read Harlequins from the s that were hotter.
There were times where I was really questioning if Will was even good enough for Cassie. I mean I loved the story and the sex but what I loved so much was the empowerment and self love this book exudes.
She was very boring and not about life or anything.
